Methods of the Training

Classroom lectures & Hands-on session.  During hands on session, participants will divided into small groups and the trainers will alternate between each station for support & guidance.

  • Understanding Nephroscope Systems and Their Applications
  • Essential Accessories in Endourology: Guidewires, Baskets, Access Sheaths, and Beyond
  • Evolution of Lithotripsy Technology: From Early Devices to Modern Laser Basics
  • IRP in RIRS: Mechanisms, Monitoring, and Complication Prevention
  • Laser Advances and Safety in Stone Surgery
  • How to Obtain Renal Access in PCNL: Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and Practical Tips
  • Optimizing Flexible Ureteroscopy for ureter stone: Pre-stenting, Scope Handling, and Management of Impacted Stones.
  • Optimizing FANS in RIRS: Indications, Setup, and Troubleshooting
  • Case Selection and Strategy Planning in Endoscopic Stone Surgery
  • Faculty Discussion: Key Messages and Practical Take-home Tips

 

Problem Based Learning (PBL):

Each trainee are required to prepare case for discussion and do presentation on day 2. Faculties will provide guidance and support during the session. Candidates who got accepted to the course must bring your own laptop computer.

Selection criteria: 

All eligible trainees should already have some basic endoscopic exposure and committed to attend the full course of the training.  Applicants are selected based on their background, experience and attitude to learn.  

 

Successful applicants will be notified approximately 1 month before the commerce of the course upon review by the course director and coordinators.

 

Expenses covered by AUSTEG:

  1. Round trip economy flights / train ticket to destination (max. USD $400)
  2. Maximum 2 nights of accommodation (Arranged by AUSTEG)
  3. Meals during workshop
