    Dr NG Chi Fai, Anthony, graduated in the Chinese university of Hong Kong in 1993. He then joined Department of Surgery, Prince of Wales Hospital, as surgical trainee. After his basic training, he decided to become an urologist and became a specialist in 2001. Attracted by the rapid development in endourology, he spent one year in Scotland, worked under Mr David Tolley, and gained extensive experience in endo-laparoscopic surgery and stone management.

    After completion of his training, Dr Ng decided to join the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006 and is currently Professor of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also current the Course Director of the Robotic Surgery Training Programme, CUHK Hong Kong Jockey Club Minimally Invasive Surgical Skill Centre. He has a wide range of interest, in particular in prostate diseases, urolithiasis, and promotion of men's health. He was also honored with the Outstanding Young Urologist Ward in 2010 by the Asian Congress of Urology, the International Guest Scholar 2012 of the American College of Surgeons, the Achievement award from the World Chinese Urology Association in the American Urological Association 2014 and the Outstanding Contribution Award by the International Alliance of Urolithiasis 2017. He and his team has also be awarded the Merit award in the Hospital Authority Outstanding Team Award 2019 to recognize their work Hong Kong.

  • Prof. Teng Aik ONG

    Professor Ong Teng Aik is a past President of the Malaysian Urological Association (MUA) and a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM). During his urology training, he was awarded the prestigious BJUI Scholar distinction.

     

    He has played an active role in advancing international education and research, having served on the boards of both the Urological Association of Asia (UAA) and the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU). Through these roles, he has fostered sustained global collaborations in urology and surgical innovation.

     

    A specialist in uro-oncology, Professor Ong pioneered Malaysia’s first multidisciplinary uro-oncology clinic in collaboration with medical oncologists. He also led the establishment of the Malaysian Prostate Cancer Registry (M-CaP), in partnership with the Asian Prostate Cancer (A-CaP) consortium. His research team has published landmark survival data on Malaysian prostate cancer patients, contributing valuable regional evidence to the global literature. In parallel, he remains strongly committed to advancing minimally invasive and robotic surgery in Malaysia.

  • Dr. Shuji Isotani

    Dr. Shuji Isotani is the Associate Professor of Division of Urology in Juntendo University, Tokyo, Japan.  Currently, he is the board member of the Japanese society of Endourology.  

     

    His interest in urology includes the technological development of urology and minimum invasive surgery including endurology. 

     

    Dr. Shuji developed a novel computational imaging method with FUJIFILM, to simulate the partial nephrectomy both in functionally and visually, and named it as “Virtual Partial Nephrectomy (PN)”.  

     

    Currently, with using his method as the surgical navigation, precise planned robotic PN have conducted.

  • Dr. Eddie Chan

    TREASURER

    Dr. Chan is the President of East Asia Society of Endourology and the Clinical Associate Professor (Honorary) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Honorary consultant of Prince of Wales Hospital. He obtained his medical degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998 and has held the fellowships from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. In 2008, Dr. Chan completed his research fellowship in Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, US.

    His interest in urology includes laparoscopic/robotic urologic surgery. He has more than ten years of experience as independent robotic surgeon, performing radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy and robotic radical cystectomy. He is actively involving in clinical services, undergraduates teaching, and residents training. Continuing his great interest in research, he has multiple ongoing projects on uro-oncology, both basic and clinical, with close collaboration with local and overseas researches. He has authored over a hundred of peer-reviewed scientific papers and abstracts published in prestigious journals. He is widely recognized for his expertise in minimal invasive urologic surgeries and is invited to deliver lectures in major conferences in United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Over the last ten years, he is very involved in training of Hong Kong and Asia urologists on minimal invasive and robotic urologic surgery. He participates in many associations and organizes workshops, lectures and conferences for education and improving the standards of urology practice in HK and other Asia countries. Dr. Chan regularly performs live-broadcast surgical demonstrations for experience sharing. He is also the host of a medical program for CableTV.
